You arrnage for an X-ray of the chest (normal) and a CT thorax which shows the bullet to have traversed the spinal canal at T2. There is no evidence of mediastinal or thoracic penetration.

The patient is transferred to the ICU, given further blood, clotting factors (Cryoprecipitate, Platelets and FFP), and is rewarmed.

She is extubabated the following day and demonstrates complete paralysis below T4. She spends a further night on HDU and is transferred to the spinal unit for rehabilitation on day 3.
