She is treated as follows

1. O2 by face mask
2. IV fluids (N/Saline)
3. Insulin. A 6u bolus of human actrapid, followed by an insulin infusion at 6u/hour
4. Urinary catheterisation
5. Nursed in head up position
6. HDU referral
